2- Search engines spiders will probably never crawl your site if there is a Flash intro because it will stop crawling when encountering Flash.

3- Often other countries and certain businesses and gov't agencies cannot access Flash and these visitors / customers / clients may find themselves at a dead end with no access to your site.
